| Description: | 02/11 THURSDAY 8 pm Jerry (acoustic guitar/vocals) and Gary (bass/percussion) will perform original songs from Jerry’s new "You Are Thunder" CD, plus their rock, blues, & folk music favorites, including Dylan, Eagles, Cat Stevens, Jimmy Cliff, Chuck Berry and more. Jerry is a songwriter/singer from Miami Beach, Florida. His original songs are an eclectic blend of acoustic folk rock, quixotic country, romantic rhapsodies and rambunctious poetry. GARY LOUCAS Gary Loucas learned to play percussion by listening to the Puerto Rican rhymes filtering up from under the boardwalk in Coney Island, New York. He performed for three years with the Miami-based African Dance Company, Kakuma Adeesay. He played on and off for three years with the Hollywood, Florida five-piece band “Urban Blues Express.” In 1999, Gary switched to Bass and plays in the “BGT” band based in North Miami Beach. |
