Anne Feeney > Fundraiser, Immokalee [details]
Benefit Concert - Broward -
ANNE FEENEY will be performing at a Fundraiser for the Coalition Immokalee Workers

St Maurice Church Auditorium, 2851 Stirling Rd, Dania Beach, FL. (Just West of I-95 on the North Side)
Tuesday Evening March 23rd at 7:00 PM
Suggested - $10.00 - sliding scale including food.

The Fundraiser in support of the COALITION OF IMMOKALEE WORKERS will also be a rememberance of Archbishop Oscar Romero on the 30th anniversary of his assassination in El Salvador when he went to the aid and defense of the Farm Workers there.

Join with us in solidarity with our brothers and sisters with the Coalition and their struggle in the agricultural fields of Florida. Many of these same workers have their own personal story of the oppression that Archbishop Romero so passionately spokeout against! The connection between the people of the CIW and that oppression is still true today.

"No mas,No more, shout the hills of Salvador
Echo the voices of the world,
We cry out 'NO MAS! NO MORE!'"

For those who do not know her, Anne Feeney is this generation's Woody Guthrie, and is considered the best labor singer in North America at this time.
